A book of poems and pictures
I was given a set of love poems by a friend fifteen years ago and was asked to illustrate them and publish them in a book. The friend, for personal reasons, asked to remain anonymous. It took me a while to figure out exactly what kind of illustrations I wanted to make, and I eventually decided to make paintings with important women in my life, to emphasize the love aspect and to ask the questions - how are we loved? are we still loved when we are older? how does love connect us and make us stronger?
